In XCOM the difference between a laser and starting weapons were VERY apparent. There are gear upgrades but the effects are not immediately noticeable. * Weak macro level strategy - In XCOM there was the base building element which kinda made you come back for more. * Lots of quality of life improvements over XCOM - A point blank shot with a shotgun is no longer a 68% chance to hit. The variety in encounter and enemy types kept XCOM fresh and had the one-more-turn effect. The main reason is probably just the lack of enemy variety. I dont hate this game or hated the time I spent so far, but I just cant get the motivation to continue. After only 10 hours it feels like I have done everything. This game does a lot of things better than XCOM. ![]()
